Description
The Atlas cedar (Cedrus atlantica) is Morocco's national tree, growing at altitude in the Rif and Middle Atlas mountains. Its oil naturally repels moths, silverfish, and insects — making cedar boxes the traditional Moroccan solution for storing linens, wool, and precious fabrics.
Each box is jointed using traditional dovetail technique passed down through generations of Fès craftsmen. No nails. No glue. The wood holds itself together through precision-cut interlocking joints. The deep red-brown heartwood darkens beautifully with age.
The cedar scent is strong on opening and mellows over years into a warm, dry woodsy fragrance.
